We wrapped up another great Fall Conference this year! Over 900 students from 48 different schools joined us this year to make it a record breaking year!
MaryKate Walling, Social Media Content Specialist with LEARFIELD, opened the conference sharing how the power of stepping out of your comfort zone can lead to breakthrough moments. Walling graduated from Iowa State University with a Master’s Degree in 2025.
We had a variety of vendors at the conference for students to interact with including the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, Drake University, Des Moines Area Community College, Walsworth Yearbooks, Jostens Yearbooks and Varsity Yearbooks!
The conference offered 49 different sessions across the three different session times for students to pick topics they were interested in. Topics ranged from photography, broadcast, writing, AI, social media, sports, and so much more! The conference ended with IHSPA announcements, and the awards ceremony to celebrate the students, advisers, and publications.
