IHSPA membership is school-wide, covering all publications and advisers. School membership is required for participation in contests and honors. IHSPA membership is $45 annually.
Please choose IHSPA Annual Membership Dues at IHSPA’s online payment site to join or renew your membership to the Iowa High School Press Association.
What Do School Payments Support?
Your contributions help cover the essential costs of running programs and events. Here’s a look at how those funds are used:
Membership Dues
- Technology & Systems – Website maintenance
- Administrative Support – Staff salaries and member communications
Fall Conference Registration
The Fall Conference is the main fundraising for IHSPA for the school year, so it covers the expenses of the conference and provides revenue for the organization overall to contribute towards other expenses.
- Venue Rental – Iowa Memorial Union room rentals and technology for sessions and event
- Speaker Fee – Honorarium for the Keynote Speaker
- Materials & Supplies – Name badges, programs, and signage
- Meals – Catering for adviser snacks and awards luncheon
Contest Entry Fees (Fall & Spring)
- Judging Costs – Payments for judges and contest platform
- Awards & Recognition – Trophies, banners, certificates, and shipping
