Natalie Niemeyer (DM East), Sarah Hamilton (Hoover), Jennifer Epping (DM North), and Carly Triplett (Roosevelt) traveled to Kansas City last week to attend the JEA’s National Convention and led a session about the basics of Standards Reference Grading. SRG involve assessing students to state or national standards of learning using a 4-level scale.
The JEA National Convention is a semi-annual conference of high school journalist and advisors sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. The convention hosts over 4,000 attendees with hundreds of sessions & activities to learn, celebrate, and network with the journalism world.
