Ankeny’s Adilyn Hoop covered the school’s Unified basketball team, a team for students with disabilities. Great details about how a team might consist of all five players being students with special needs; or, if a helper is one of the team members their job is to get the ball to special needs players so they can shoot. Adilyn also took all the photos the accompany the piece. You can find more of Adilyn’s work here.

You can find more of Colin’s work here, Jake’s work here, and Shanza’s work here.

Students can submit a link to their best timely photos and stories to be entered into the monthly contest. At the end of the month, IHSPA chooses a story and a photo to post on our Instagram, Facebook, and website.
